*PDQ Signal post is keyed to the stand so that the dish is always in alignment to the stand’s compass settings. A tripod is a post that has the dish repositioned each time it is used.

**PDQ Signal has threaded ¾ inch rods for legs allowing adjustments on each corner to allow for the stand to be aligned to a Magnetic North.
**Most tripods do not have easy leg adjustments. Some must use wedges or adjustments to the ground for setting up on uneven terrain.

With the PDQ Signal you will start with a signal. That’s right! Once the Stand and your DirecTV Multi Dish have been calibrated to each other the stand is so accurate that within minutes, if not at the start, you will have a signal strength.

By having accurate gauges for the Elevation, Azimuth, and Tilt settings you don't have to remember what adjustment is needed for the Dish’s Elevation Gauge. There are reports of them being upto 8 degrees in error.

Not having an Azimuth gauge at all and when you do have one it's so small that pointing the dish is still a guess.

With PDQ Signal the base is a compass with a 14 inch diameter Azimuth setting. With all the parts, including the Dish itself, keyed to the Magnetic North of the stand the dish starts in the right direction.

Using a meter and still not on the right satellite? Because of the PDQ Signal stand, most of the time, you do not need a signal meter. The only time is when you are without your Partner and cannot hear the TV. However, the PDQ Signal stand is so accurate that with the setting from the local zip codes your meter shows the correct satellite from the start.

Are you finding not finding all of the satellite signals? The front level must be correct if you want to be assured that the satellites are going to line up. The second level, the one on the side, will help you with the elevation. However, it’s ok if it gets out of the bubble while fine tuning the elevation. The front one MUST stay level to be assured that both satellites are found.

Are you getting all setup just to determine that maybe that tree or building really is in the way? With the PDQ stand comes a periscope that we loving call the LOST unit; Line Of Sight Tool. Because the LOST unit is keyed the same as the stand and dish, you can place the LOST unit on the stand in place of the dish. Now you can look through the eye piece and see if that tree or building is in the way. You can then move to an area without the obstacles.

When setting the elevation for the strongest signal strength there is no more trying to hold the dish and work those two nuts that are needed to adjust the elevation. NO MORE WISHING FOR THREE HANDS!!

The PDQ Signal has threaded legs that will adjust the elevation slowly, 10 turns to the inch. Your Partner can watch the strength get stronger and let you know when it's at it's peak. NO MORE "I loosened the nut too much & now we get to start all over again."

How about those times when you could not nail down the tripod and the weights did not keep if from falling over and the dish and/or the LNB got broken or bent up?

The Dish's reflector can warp. When warped the correct settings no longer work. It becomes a guess as to what can be used for the Tilt, Azimuth, or Elevation values. There may or may not be some combination that will find the different signals.

The PDQ Signal is low to the ground, and if you lower the profile of the stand in windy conditions, you will not need to nail down the stand. In those cases where the winds do get strong (Steady Winds over 45 MPH) we are developing a “Strong Wind Kit”.
