While being on the road offered Del and Candy many things to do and places to see, it often made stopping to watch their favorite television programs (especially on the network’s schedule) nearly impossible. Still, the Saindons found they had "down time," ideal for watching TV, but often not when their prime time shows were on. As a result, Del and Candy, like many RVers, turned to satellite television with digital video recording (DVR) as a means to watch their favorite programs on an inconsistent schedule. The Saindons selected Dish Network’s DVR as their satellite provider, and headed out on another RV adventure…

Once they arrived at an RV Park, Candy's job was to schedule their favorite shows to be recorded (which they could watch when they had time). That left Del in charge of dish setup and satellite reception. Since Dish Network required the use of multi-satellites, Del soon found out (like many RVers) that the setup could be very time consuming and frustrating.  Amazingly, it was out of this frustration that the PDQ Stand was invented -- and the Delsand Company was born!
